Early Risers, Moms, Pi, and Mental Health

Coffee in Golden Colorado

The Library invites Early Risers for Coffee at the Library this morning, from 8-9AM.  Gather in the morning with friends and neighbors and get your brain going.  We’re rising early on the second Monday of each month before the library opens to sit near the fireplace and talk. There’s a different topic each month, from history to books to current affairs. Bring your knitting, bring your memories, or just sit and listen. The coffee and tea is on us!

The MOMS Club of Golden meets this morning at 9:30 at Faith Lutheran Church, 17701 W. 16th Avenue (map).

The Library will get a jump start on Pi Day with today’s Pi Celebration from 4-6PM.  Why doesn’t Albert Einstein eat cake on his birthday? Because he prefers pi, of course! Celebrate Pi Day and Einstein’s birthday one day early by making pi(e)s, seeing how many digits of pi you can memorize, and celebrating math and physics through exploration and problem solving.  Suitable for: Ages 11 and up
