E-Days at the School of Mines is this weekend. The ore cart pull down Colfax Avenue will begin at 7:30 Friday morning. They’ll reach the capitol in Denver at about noon. There will be some fun things for the community to see on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Details tomorrow. In the meantime, plan for fireworks on Saturday night!

The City’s Bike Library opens this morning at 10AM. Head to the Visitors Center if you would like to borrow one. The first two hours are FREE! They’re open daily from 10-4. Learn more….

Speaking of getting two hours for FREE…the City wants to remind you that the first two hours of parking downtown are still FREE. The garages and the two surface lots between Washington and Arapaho now have kiosk, but when you register your car, you can tell it, “two hours free.”

Now, you can bypass the kiosk by downloading the “Parkmobile” app to your mobile device. Parkmobile lets you park, not only in Golden, but in other towns as well, including Boulder and Denver. Learn more about the app on the City website.

The Golden History Center has a lecture tonight from 6-8 about historical Colorado Tourism. Should be interesting! .

Foothills Art Center is having a members-only opening reception tonight from 6-8PM for their Watercolor Exhibit.  If you’re not a Foothills Member, this would be a perfect night to become one!
