Drones, trash, and communication

City Council has a study session tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers.  It will be broadcast live on cable channel 8 and through the website.  There is no public comment period during study sessions.   They will cover several interesting topics tonight.  The Police Department would like to buy an Unmanned Aircraft System, and the Chief will tell Council how our police would benefit from its use.  Theresa Worsham, the Sustainability Coordinator, will update the Council on the implementation of Pay As You Throw within Home Owners Associations.  Karlyn Tilley, the Communications Manager, will describe updates to the city website and options to make the Council Hotline more useable.  Councilors Charis-Graves and Gould will lead a discussion on ways to improve the city’s public outreach and use of public input.  As always, check the meeting packet for more information on these topics (click on the word “Agenda” next to the meeting date & time).
