The Mountaineering Center is hosting a movie premier gala tonight at 7:30. HIGH GROUND is an honest and gripping portrayal of veterans returning from the longest war in American history. Their poignant story unfolds in unexpected ways as the team makes their way high into the Himalayan Mountains, through the villages of Nepal, over raging rivers and up terrifying steep terrain risking everything for a chance at the summit.
The film will be introduced by author Jon Krakauer. Afterward there will be a special question and answer period moderated by John Meyer of the Denver Post featuring film maker Michael Brown and members of the 2010 Soldiers to Summits Lobuche climbing team including Erik Weihenmayer, Luis Benitez, Brad Bull and Chad Stone.
