Gold Mine Cupcakes Sign ($758)
Humble House/Generous Coffee Sign ($435)
Symmestry 360 Massage ($1288)
They will consider extending the contract for holiday lighting:

2024/25 – $99,594
2025/26 – $104,325
Staff will report on several ongoing issues. They have repaired the lighting in the 1250 Jackson Street parking garage with the goal of making it feel safer.
Overhead strings of light will be installed in Miners Alley in coming weeks.
Calvary Church is reviewing redevelopment proposals for their property on the south side of 14th Street (across from their parking garage).
The owners of the building at 1104-1106 Washington Avenue (map) are applying for building permits for interior and facade renovations.
The addition on the north side of the Astor House is well underway.
They will hold public meetings during July to discuss building common consumption areas (City-owned tables and chairs in the public right of way for use by restaurant patrons and other members of the public).
Miners Alley Performing Arts Center anticipates having a Certificate of Occupancy for their new space (former Meyer Hardware building) by September. Since they will have both their current and new locations through the end of the year, they plan to produce two holiday plays this year.
Representatives from CoorsTek will attend the meeting to propose a Tax Increment Financing agreement for their new Clayworks development. This project will significantly change downtown Golden. Learn more about their plans and proposals by viewing the meeting packet, pages 15-36.

GOLDEN HISTORY MOMENT
The June 26, 1941 Colorado Transcript described the flood that had occurred the previous weekend. Two cloudbursts in rapid succession caused Clear Creek to go over its bank on the north side. The streets flooded, large rocks were deposited in yards, and basements filled with water.
Several drowned animals were deposited on Coors property when the water receded, including a deer, three cows, and a bear. A freight bridge and a Tramway bridge near Coors were both swept away.
The railroad was being removed from Clear Creek canyon at that time, and the work train used for pulling up the track was marooned when the track between the engine and Golden was washed out.
Bad as all this sounds, it was not one of the worst floods in Golden’s history. Our most damaging floods have occurred when Tucker Gulch has filled with water and come crashing down into Clear Creek.
Thanks to the Golden History Museum for providing the online cache of historic Transcripts, and to the Golden Transcript for documenting our history since 1866!
