Did you know that we have dinosaur fossils right here, within the city limits? There’s a trail head at 19th street and highway 6 for the “Triceratops Trail.” The trail is gravel and 1.5 miles long, and it winds between large sandstone walls. You can see dinosaur, bird, mammal, insect and invertebrate tracks and traces, plus an entire wall of plant impressions.
Triceratops Trail always makes an interesting walk, but tomorrow (Saturday) there will be guides on hand from 10-2 to help you understand the prehistoric remnants along the trail.
