The Sustainability Board will meet tonight at 6 in City Council Chambers. The City Attorney will be present, so the board can ask questions and discuss proposed activities regarding the solar garden ballot initiative.
City Council meets tomorrow night at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. The consent agenda sets August 10th as the date of public hearings for making 807 13th Street a designated historic site and for requiring that guns be locked when children are present in Golden homes. The Finance Director will provide the second quarter financial report (we’re in good shape). There will be a public hearing regarding a rezoning to allow Kong to manufacture in their Coors Tech Center location.
Council will consider a resolution to increase green bus service along the existing flex route. This proposal would increase frequency from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes on weekdays from 8:30AM-5:30PM. See the Agenda page on the city website for more details.

Golden River Sports will have kayaks and SUP boards available for trying at the Clear Creek Whitewater Park starting at 5:30 tonight.
The Library has a guest speaker tonight at 6:30. The author of Boozers, Brothels, and Bare Knuckle Brawlers: The Tale of Buffalo Bill’s Little Known Benefactor will discuss this factual, enthralling and entertaining account following the escapades of young Englishman Evelyn Booth’s adventures throughout the United states at the end of the late 19th century. We’ll hear tales of some of the most well-known celebrities of the time and new information on his business dealings with the most famous American of the day, William Frederick ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody and his Wild West show.
