Have you seen the exhibit of Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions in the School of Mines library? The models are placed all around the library, along with explanations of what they do. You can see the exhibit any time the library is open. This afternoon from 4-5PM, they’ll have a lecture about Da Vinci’s life and inventions. It’s free, you are welcome to attend, and it will be a good opportunity to wander around and see the exhibit. The Arthur Lakes Library is located at 1400 Illinois Street (map). It’s located in the middle of campus, so allow plenty of time to park and walk to the library.

Golden Rotary is sponsoring a free class on Taming Your Child’s Anxious Mind tonight at 6:15 in Miners Alley Playhouse (map). Class Description: Does your pre-teen/teen struggle with stress and anxiety? Come learn a few techniques to help your child tame their anxious mind. We will discuss and practice effective coping skills including mindfulness and relaxation and you’ll learn how to teach these skills to your child. This class is for parents and caregivers of children ages 12-18. Please come at 6:15 p.m. and enjoy a free sandwich & drink.
The Economic Development Commission meets at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. Staff will describe a recent visit to Panacea Life Sciences, which makes products produced from hemp oil extract. They will review their events and program’s, which include last month’s panel about businesses that support non-profit organizations, the newly-fledged Women Who Startup Basecamp, and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Mentoring that they sponsor through Traxion. They will also discuss their plan to replace the Golden Business News program with Instagram and Facebook posts produced by City Staff.
Golden Beer Talks is tonight at 6:30 at Windy Saddle Cafe. Christina Burri from Denver Water will tell us about their Healthy Forests, Healthy Watersheds program.

Tomorrow night at 6PM, the City will and Bicycle Colorado will provide a FREE Auto-Friendly Bicyclist and Bicycle Friendly Driver Course. The Auto-Friendly Bicyclist Course is designed to teach people who ride bicycles best practices for sharing the road with drivers. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an Auto-Friendly Bicyclist certificate and sticker to display on their bicycle.
