Cross-Dressing…a Time-Honored Tradition in Golden

Today’s lecture at the Golden History Center should be great:  it’s the story of Elsie Guerin, widowed at sixteen when her husband was murdered.  She came to Golden in 1859, disguised as a man and determined to find her husband’s killer.  She went on to enlist in the Union army and served throughout the Civil War.

Don’t be discouraged by a little snow!  This is the final lecture in the fall series, and it sounds interesting.  5-6 PM.  $3 for non-members or free for members..
