The July 20, 1976 Golden Transcript reported on the police log. They were investigating a robbery and burglary at the Golden Motel (map), where three men held up a desk clerk at knife point and got away with $10-15.

A man was charged with reckless endangerment for allegedly picking up a child by the head because the child had irritated him.

The former Golden Touch Massage Parlor

An unknown person entered the Golden Touch Massage Parlor (map) through the kitchen window and stole $70-80.

A rock was thrown through the window of a beauty parlor. Damage was estimated at $50.

City Campground

Campers in the City campground on Clear Creek had a purse, cash, and a lamp stolen, with combined value of $93.

A mines student reported the loss or theft of his wallet.

The former Golden Junior High

An employee at Golden Junior High (in the building now used as the Mountaineering center) was followed by two people in a car, who then tried to get her in the car.

A juvenile was released to his parents after shoplifting a 15 cent item from Foss Drug.

Ten people partying in Parfet Park threw away their beer after a policeman informed them about the open container ordinance.

A boy ran away from the Youth Services Center (formerly called the Industrial School).
