EDComm will go over their 2021 work plan, discuss the COVID-19 business assistance programs, and go over their budget. They will learn about the School of Mines’ “Innov8x” class, “which is developing a way to connect entrepreneurs to each other and resources, both locally and regionally. The course introduces concepts and tools to accelerate the design, validation, and adoption of innovations in support of creative problem solving. Using an entrepreneurial and creative mindset, students learn how to identify and frame problems that beneficiaries and stakeholders face.” They will also talk with a local business owner, Kim Mangel, who assists non-profits and does some work for the city.
