City Council meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They’ll be approving a contract with Happel & Associates of Golden for $276,727 to remodel the Golden History Museum. The Museum will be closed for the first half of 2018. The Mayor will appoint Cindy Jaye to fill a vacancy on the Public Art Commission and Brian Joyce to fill a vacancy on the Economic Development Commission. The combined holiday party for Golden River Sports and Mountain Toad Brewing will run from 6-10 tonight at the Brewery (map). They will be running hourly raffles with fishing and paddling gear as prizes, including a kayak! You get raffle tickets by purchasing beverages or contributing to one or both of the non-profits that will be there tonight: Get Outside And Learn Something (GOALS) and West Denver Trout Unlimited.
Powder7 Ski Shop is hosting the premiere of a movie tonight at 7PM: This is Home. The suggested donation is $5, and all proceeds will go to benefit Protect Our Winters.
Bell Middle School is having their vocal music concert tonight at 7.
As you’ve probably guessed (from the countdown on Mt. Zion), tomorrow is commencement day at the School of Mines. Undergraduates will receive their degrees at a 9AM ceremony and graduate degrees will be conferred at 3PM. Both ceremonies will take place in Lockridge Arena in the Student Recreation Center.
