Golden has lost a valuable and well-respected citizen. Conrad Gardner worked for 50 years to preserve Golden history and support its libraries. His memorial service will be this Friday, November 10th.
Conrad Earl Gardner, over 50 years Golden attorney and past leader of the Jefferson County Library and Golden Landmarks Association, passed away peacefully October 29th. Born February 16, 1938 to James and Nina Gardner, he grew up in Arkansas City, Kansas, and graduated Dartmouth and Stanford before helping others in law, the armed forces, charity, government and preservation. A public memorial service will be held November 10th at 1 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 17701 West 16th Avenue in Golden (map).
