Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Mayors Against Illegal Guns will meet tomorrow morning at 11 in Lions Park (1300 10th St.),
This a chance to meet with others who share a commitment to keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous people. Since Newtown, there have been at least 60 more school shootings, and just last week, a mass shooting at Fort Hood made it all too clear that even members of our military aren’t safe from gun violence when they’re stationed at home. It is more important than ever to show that (1) we are committed to reducing gun violence and saving lives; (2) 90% of Americans are in favor of background checks; and (3) we will hold our elected officials accountable if they don’t do the right thing. Please meet us in the park and be a part of this growing movement.
The Golden Games start tomorrow, and should provide lots of interesting things to see along Clear Creek all weekend!
