Get ready for Friday night's Candlelight Walk! A limited number of commemorative candles are available at Miners Saloon and Baby Doe's Clothing. A small number are also available at the Golden Welcome Center. Proceeds from the candles go to support the Olde Golden Holidays festivities The suggested donation is $3.
These commemorative candles were introduced in 2020—the year of the covid shut-down, when we couldn't have Candlelight Walk. That year, we were encouraged to put them in our windows so we could all see our neighbors' candles and enjoy that small measure of community.
Several non-profits will be selling wax candles on the night of the walk, so if you don't get one of commemorative candles, you'll have a backup plan.
