This is the second and final day for this year’s Golden Community Pride Days. Bring your unwanted stuff to the City shops at 1300 Catamount Drive (map) between 8 and 3:30, and city workers will take it off your hands. See the city website for the details on that.
For future reference, Spring Yard Waste collections will take place later this month. Your pickup date is keyed to the day your trash is normally collected. Houses on the Wednesday and Thursday routes will have yard waste pickup on May 9th. The Monday route and Tuesday north of Highway 58 will have their pickup on May 16th. The Friday route and Tuesday south of Highway 58 will have yard waste pickup on May 23rd. When your date comes, have your yard waste out at the curb by 8:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. Use compostable bags if you choose to bag your yard waste. Yard waste in non-compostable plastic bags will not be picked up.
The Bookmobile will be at the library parking lot from noon-4 today. Admit it…you’ve always been curious about the inside of a bookmobile. Here’s your chance to check it out.
The Golden Walks group will be exploring Tucker Gulch and Hogback Ridge this afternoon, from 3 till about 5:30. You are most cordially invited.
