If you ever find yourself considering Golden issues–growth, affordable housing, traffic calming, historic preservation, sustainability–and wondering who made those decisions?  why didn’t they see it my way–the right way?–you should be following local government more closely!

Start tonight!  The Leadership Golden Candidates Forum takes place tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers and will be broadcast live on the city website and cable channel 8.  Each candidate will make an opening statement, answer a series of questions about current issues, and make a closing statement.  It’s a perfect opportunity to compare and contrast your choices.

Madwoman of Chaillot at Golden High SchoolGolden High School’s State Right Productions will be performing The Madwoman of Chaillot this weekend.  The Prospector, the Broker, the Baron, and the Chairwoman of the Board have discovered oil beneath the streets of Paris and seek to destroy whatever they must in order to get it. It falls to the Madwoman of Chaillot, an eccentric countess who acts as the core of creative thought, and the everyday people of Paris to stop the darkness from taking control of their world.  Tickets: $8 – $10  Performances will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7, and a matinee Saturday at 2.

Foothills Art Center - Golden ColoradoFoothills Art Center is hosting aerialist Jill Scott, who will interpret the current show, Street Fonts and Funk from 6-8PM.  Free for members and regular admission for non-members.
