City Council meets tonight at 6:30, and they have a packed agenda, including five public hearings. Council will vote tonight on whether to create two new urban renewal areas–one at 24th and Ford (the bowling alley), and the other on 8th Street, near the Briarwood. Planning Director Steve Glueck will report on the success of April’s Buy Golden Week, and Communications Manager Karlyn Tilley will report on the effectiveness of the City’s redesigned website. The meeting will be aired live on cable channel 8 or through the City’s website.
