The City and County have a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 2 o’clock this afternoon, celebrating the opening of the pedestrian bridge over 6th Avenue. City Councilors and County Commissioners will meet on the north side and walk across to the south side to cut the ribbon. If the weather seems questionable, call the city (303-384-8000) to verify that the event will take place.
The Golden Lions Club holds their annual chili supper tonight from 5-7 at the Methodist Church, 15th and Jackson Streets. The cost is $5 for adults and $3.50 for children. The menu includes chili with crackers, lemonade or coffee, and ice cream. All proceeds go to the Lions sight fund.
