City Council meets tonight at 6:30, in City Council chambers. Among their topics will be a change order on the Clear Creek corridor work that is currently underway. A change to the sidewalk and creek bank behind the library will be built, as shown in the drawing above. The complete agenda is available online, and the meeting will be broadcast on Cable Channel 8 and via the city website.
The Friends of the Library will hold a huge March Madness book sale at the Jeffco Fairgrounds this weekend. Admission is free, and the sale will be open from 9-5 Friday and Saturday, and from 11-3 on Sunday. Books will be available from 50 cents to $2.50, with hardback fiction for just $1. Sunday is Bag Day, where for $6 you can fill up a grocery bag full of items. All proceeds benefit the Jefferson County Libraries (which include the Golden Library).
