Construction is beginning on the intersection of US 6 and 19th Street.  The City is holding a kick-off meeting tonight (Thursday January 28th) from 5:30-8:30 at Fossil Trace (3050 Illinois Street – map).

Meet with City Staff to learn the latest about the project — what exactly will be happening, the true expected impacts to traffic. This is your opportunity to get the most up-to-date information about the upcoming project and get your questions answered.  Staff will be making a presentation with the contractor at 6 p.m. and questions will follow. The presentation will be repeated at around 7:30 p.m. and an opportunity to ask questions afterwards will again follow.

The City has set up a webpage at to provide ongoing updates about the project.
