Car wash & drug collection tomorrow

Golden High School’s Interact, Key, and UNICEF clubs will do a fundraising car wash from 10-2 tomorrow in Pizza Hut’s parking lot.  The car wash itself is free, but the students will accept donations for ShelterBox.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis.  If there are families in need of emergency shelter, ShelterBox does everything it can to help them rebuild their lives.

Pizza Hut (the location of the car wash) is located at 17300 S. Golden Road ( Map).

Clean out your medicine cabinet!

The Golden Police Department is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to be part of a massive state-wide pharmaceutical round-up. You can get rid of prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and vitamins that are unwanted or unused and safely dispose of them for free. This is your chance to clean out your medicine cabinet! This is a great opportunity to turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal. Please, NO needles or syringes, mercury thermometers, cancer treatment medication, radioactive medications, or illegal drugs.  Bring your old pharmaceuticals to the police department at City Hall, at 911 10th Street, between 10AM and 2PM tomorrow, Saturday September 26th.
