Clear Creek Room: The Heart of Golden
Surrounded by North and South Table Mountains, Clear Creek has drawn people to this area for millennia.
We Are Still Here: The Endurance of Native Jewels
In this exhibit, we define jewel as both a precious item as well as a woman of strength and importance. Explore how Indigenous women have persevered through hundreds of years of oppression and numerous attempts to destroy their culture. Featuring modern Native fashions that utilize ancient Indigenous jewels, learn about prominent Native women in contemporary American society. Not only are Native Americans still here; they have endured, and they are thriving.
Discovery Awaits: Indigenous Connections, Epic Events, Legendary People, andthe Touch Gallery. A new Jolly Rancher exhibit is in the works and will open in2025.
The Salon: Golden High School 150th Anniversary Exhibit
Golden History Park (11th & Arapahoe): The outdoor setting re-creates the look and feel of a late 1800's mountain ranch complete with gardens, a working blacksmith shop, schoolhouse and chicken coop (chickens included).

The main floor exhibits feature specimens from many Colorado mining districts, other global localities and an introductory video on area geology. The Special Exhibit Room hosts prominent precious metal and invited displays. The main gallery also showcases historic mining murals by Irwin Hoffman.
The basement contains numerous exhibits regarding radioactivity, fossils, basic geology, gemstones, meteorites, ultraviolet minerals and underground mining illumination. The outdoor geologic trail features seven outcrops with various geologic and paleontological points of interest, including fossilized dinosaur tracks, logs and leaves.

The Golden Farmers Market (GFM) is produced and managed by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization in Golden, Colorado. A long-standing tradition in the Golden community, we strive to contribute to the success of local food growers and producers, as well as other businesses, and create vibrant community gatherings. The revenue generated from vendor sales commission helps to cover market operating expenses and directly benefits small businesses and the economic development of the Golden Community.
The market is located at the corner of 10th and Illinois Streets.

Safety & Preparedness Day

To kick off Fire Prevention Week, the Golden Fire Department is excited to open our doors for our 18th annual Safety Day event.
This 100% free public event is open to everyone and any age range. Age specific education is provided by our safety and preparedness partners in the Denver metro area in our truck bays laid out in a farmers market style booth setup. We cover wide ranging topics with some examples being fire, police, paramedics, dispatch, animal control, burn teams, and live demonstrations throughout the morning.
There will be light refreshments, snacks, and prizes to win in a raffle, again at no cost to our visitors. There will be hands on activities that are fun for all ages, and tours of varying emergency vehicles with staff who can answer questions in their areas of expertise. We will have free face painting as well, so bring your friends and families from all over to enjoy a morning that you get to meet your local responders and learn about being more prepared for a wide range of topics!

As always the color brochure explaining the energy efficiency features of each home will be published and all of our great sponsors have lovely ads in the brochure to feature their products and services for creating an energy efficient home for you!
The parking lot of the Jefferson Unitarian Church will also feature Ebikes, EV automobiles, a container home and a couple of alternative homes to tour. After the tour hours, our sponsors and related non-profit groups will have tables to educate you more about available products and opportunities.
The Expo from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. will have a buffet and music.
And your ticket is your admission to the evening.

The Cruise has always been yours and you know the drill. If you’ve been a participant or spectator, come out as usual. If you’re new to the Cruise, start at South Golden Road and jump in. It’s easy and the people are great. Support the City of Golden and Golden businesses because they’ve always been our gracious hosts. Thank you very sincerely for the perfect job of picking up and packing out trash. Point of important courtesy: Drive straight through all roundabouts, but ESPECIALLY at South Golden Road and Ulysses at the top of the hill. Tell others and use it as a cooldown and space it out to come back around through the Quaker roundabout.
