Saturday morning there will be a hill climb (that’s with bikes) up Lookout Mountain. It starts at 8 AM at the pillars at the start of the Lariat Loop Road (next to Beverly Heights Park). Should be interesting if you want to watch the cyclists, but it probably wouldn’t be the best time to drive up the road.
The Golden Farmers Market is back, after a one week hiatus for Buffalo Bill Days. They’ll be open from 8 – 1 at 10th and Illinois, with the usual luscious array of produce, fresh baked goods, and much more.
City Councilor Saoirsa Charis-Graves will host her monthly “Coffee with a Councilor” at the 5th Ring Coffee House, from 9-10. Stop by, enjoy some coffee, learn what’s happening in the city, ask questions and express concerns about city stuff.
At 2 PM there will be a lecture at Foothills Art Center. Steven Young Lee, juror for the new exhibition, will discuss Colorado Clay.
There will be a Golden Super Cruise Saturday evening. The official time span is 5-9, but you can expect to see classic cars around town all day.
