This is the 100th Anniversary of the death of William (“Buffalo Bill”) Cody. Admission at the Buffalo Bill Museum will be free all day, and there will be a candlelight vigil at his grave at 7PM tonight, followed by free hot chocolate.
The Golden Beer Talk at Windy Saddle Cafe (6:30) will feature Dr. Keith Neeves discussing Injectable Microbots for Dissolving Blood Clots. Tonight’s featured Golden craft beer will come from Barrels & Bottles.
There will be a meeting at 6:30 in City Hall to discuss safety concerns about Heritage Road. The residents in the adjacent neighborhoods have been expressing concerns about the raised bike lanes and the small circumference of the roundabouts. Of particular interest is the drainage “pit” in the middle of the roundabout at Eagle Ridge & Heritage Road. Several cars have failed to negotiate the circle and have driven straight into the pit. When this happens, they need to be pulled out by a tow truck and the road is blocked to through traffic. Community members will meet with city staff to discuss ways to improve safety along that road.
The Economic Development Commission will meet at 6:30 in the City Planning Office. They will discuss three requests for economic incentives–Nuclear Filter Technologies and Gunslinger Custom Paint, which both plan to expand their current facilities, and the new Gateway Village Hotel, which has not yet been built.
