Busy Saturday–or not!

I’m writing this Friday night, so I’m not sure how serious the predicted Snow-magedden will be.  Here’s are some scheduled Saturday events.  Might be worth calling or checking websites first, to verify that they’re still going to happen.

Jamboree for Outstanding Youngsters (JOY) – Join Alpha Phi Omega – Mu Pi Chapter and the Golden Police and Fire Departments for games, activities, and prizes on the IM South Fields (on the Colorado School of Mines Campus).  The Jamboree lasts from 10AM-2PM.

City Councilor Casey Brown invites you to “Coffee with a Councilor” this morning from 10-11 at Natural Grocers.  2401 Ford Street, Golden, CO (map).

The Golden Library has been encouraging patrons to recycle their leftover Easter Peeps into dioramas showing scenes from literature.  This afternoon from 1-2, they’ll host The Peeple’s Choice awards.  Stop by, and applaud the winners!

The Railroad Museum will be giving train rides behind a steam locomotive today from 10-4. Admission: Museum Members and Children under 2 are free, Children $5, Adults $10, and Seniors $8. Ride Tickets: Adults (16+) $4, Children (2-15) $2. Museum members receive $1 discount per ticket.
