The Farmers Market will run from 8AM-1PM this morning in the parking lot at 10th and Illinois.
Yoga in the Park kicks off at 9AM. The teachers from Golden Yoga and Healing Arts teach theme classes. They’re free, but they do accept donations. Bring a mat at water to Parfet Park (10th and Washington) at 9AM.
The City and Bicycle Colorado are hosting a FREE Kids Bike Rodeo today from 10AM-1PM in the Coors Tek Parking Lot at 10th and Jackson. Children do not need to bring bikes, but should bring helmets if they have them. Bicycle Colorado will assist with proper helmet fitting for children. This is a great opportunity for children to learn safety techniques. Bike rodeos are recommended for children ages 4 to 13. Bicycles and striders will be provided. Children can come anytime and go through the course as many times as they like!
A Jeffco Open Space Ranger will be at the Golden Library this morning from 11-12, telling us about the Geology and History of North Table Mountain.
The Colorado State Patrol is having a Demo Day today from 11AM-5PM, with professional skills demonstrations by Colorado State Patrol motorcycle officers, local police motorcycle officers, and Motorcycle Safety instructors. You can ride the skills course yourself if you bring your own bike and sign their waiver. They’ll have food trucks and vendors on hand. This event is open to the public and FREE! Don’t forget the Brontos & Brews Festival at Dinosaur Ridge from 10AM-4PM. They’ll have dinosaur-themed rides and games starting at 10AM, and a beer garden featuring local breweries from 1-4PM. Be there at noon to help them beat the Guinness World Record for most people in Dinosaur costumes! Bring a costume if you have one, or they’ll have a limited number they can loan out.
The downtown merchants are celebrating Golden Weekends again tonight, so head downtown for a free carriage ride from 5-7, music on the Avenue from 5-8, and lots of sales and samples in the stores!
