So many fun things happening today! The egg hunt in Parfet Park will start promptly at 10. The Easter Festival at Heritage Square will run from 11-4. The Bunny Express Train at the Railroad Museum runs from 10-4.
The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is offering their monthly “Make and Take Project” from 10-1. Today, they’ll be making a quilted stuffed animal. The class will be held at the museum’s administrative office, at 910 13th Street, Suite 300. (map)
There will be a Golden Super Cruise tonight! The official hours are 5-9, but the classic cars start gathering along South Golden Road much earlier in the afternoon.
Today is the big day at Foothills Art Center: the Dale Chihuly show is now open to the public! The exhibition will showcase over 45 works from Chihuly’s most innovative and unusual series inspired by Art Deco Venetian art. The highlight of the exhibition is the famous Laguna Murano Chandelier that has over 1500 separate pieces of glass that make up five separate elements. The exhibition also features a number of Bottle Stoppers, Putti and Piccolo Venetian glass vases and a number of original drawings by Chihuly related to the Venetians. Admission is $10.00 for adults; $8.00 for seniors (over 65); $5.00 for students (with a valid id) and youth 7-18. Admission is free to museum members. They will be open from 10-5 today.
