Get ready! Next weekend we’ll be celebrating Buffalo Bill Days. It starts on Wednesday, with a golf tournament at Applewood Golf Course. On Thursday, the Golden Chamber holds a special membership luncheon at the Buffalo Rose. (If you’re a Chamber member, or considering joining, don’t miss this–it’s fun!)
The action in Parfet Park (10th & Washington) starts on Friday at 5. All weekend long, we’ll have arts & crafts, food, beer, bull riding, children’s rides, and live music. Friday’s music comes from Strange Radio and Chris Daniels & the Kings.
Saturday begins with a Golden Fire Department pancake breakfast from 6-10AM. The parade starts at 10, and runs along Washington Avenue from 10th to 13th. There will be a Wild West Show in Lions Park from 12:30-3. And again, there will be music all day in Parfet Park: Jewel & the Rough, Magic Moments, Ethyl & the Regulars, and Brad Lee Schroeder.
Sunday begins with a community worship service in Parfet Park from 9-10:15. Over in Lions Park, little children can try their hand at Muttin Bustin’ from 10-1. There will be a car show along Washington Avenue. Back in Parfet Park, the Golden Center of Dance will perform from 10:30-11:30. Music will follow, performed by Two Girls With Guitars and The Long Run. There will be a duck race on Clear Creek at 1, sponsored by the Sons of American Legion. The requested donation is $2/duck, and there are lots of good prizes!
