The topic is Golden City Brewery Goes to Nepal, and the speakers are Charlie Sturdavant of the Golden City Brewery, and Lhakpa Sherpa of the Sherpa House. The two will discuss the new brewery that they are building together in Nepal.
The Economic Development Commission will meet tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They will discuss planned upcoming meetings with Golden-based businesses, a May 7th “Industry Block Party” to be held in the Coors Tech Center, scholarships to be given to Golden High School graduating seniors, and a possible Entrepreneurial Club to be formed at the High School. Tomorrow at noon, the National Renewable Energy Lab is hosting a Power Lunch Lecture – The Role of Energy Storage in Today’s and Tomorrow’s Electric Grid.
NREL Senior Energy Analyst Paul Denholm will provide an overview of the role of energy storage in today’s and tomorrow’s electric grid and describes some of the tools and methods NREL and others have used to understand the value of energy storage and its ability to help integrate very large amounts of renewable energy.
