The Boettcher Mansion is 100 years old this summer. They’re having a party to celebrate tonight, and you’re invited!
Come join the fun and celebrate 100 years of the Boettcher legacy on Lookout Mountain! Thursday, July 27, 4:00pm-8:00pm, outside the Boettcher Mansion. The local band Renewed will be playing Top 40 hits while you explore, go on a tour of the mansion, see new Lookout Mountain Nature Center exhibits, enjoy games, interactive booths, food and brews by Little Machine Beer. We encourage carpooling, and please be aware that dogs and bikes are not allowed in the nature preserve. Free admission to this event.
DEADLINES
If you want to apply for this fall’s Leadership Golden class (and you should), know that the deadline for applications is July 31st.
The County is looking for Volunteers to serve on boards and commissions. Want to advise on Open Space? The Library? Housing, Mental Health, the Fairgrounds, Sustainability…lots of other options. See the range of possibilities and submit an application on the County’s website. The deadline to apply is August 1st.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Jefferson County Fair will take place August 10th-13th. They’re looking for volunteers.
The Golden Gallop, which benefits the Golden Schools Foundation, will happen on September 24th. From race packet hand out to water stations to clean up, we can use help from our Golden neighbors.
