The Parks & Recreation Board will meet tonight at 7PM at the Golden Community Center. The meeting is open to the public, but it will not be broadcast live. They will discuss Calvary Church‘s ongoing desire to close Arapahoe Street between 13th and 14th. They will also discuss a piece of art that was donated as a memorial for use in Ulysses Park. They’ve had trouble finding a secure place to display the artwork. They will hear a report from a subcommittee that has been working with the Lions Club to consider a possible pavilion that the Lions would like to donate for use in Vanover Park. The Library’s book discussion group will meet from 6-7 tonight to discuss Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas. New Terrain Brewing has their weekly “Yoga on Tap” from 6-7 tonight. The VFW has Bingo starting at 6. The Ace Hi has Trivia Night starting at 7, and the Buffalo Rose has Geeks Who Drink Trivia starting at 7:30.
Tomorrow: New Insect Pests in Our Urban Landscape
Tomorrow night from 6-7:30, Jeffco Open Space will continue their series of lectures. Laura Pottorff, Colorado Department of Agriculture, will speak about Emerald Ash Borer and Japaneese beetle.
