This should be a beautiful weekend in Golden, with a high of 70 both days. One week from today is Greener Golden day, which means you’ll be able to pick up your Garden in a Box between 12 and 3PM. If you haven’t ordered one yet, you’re in LUCK: they’re offering a $10 discount for last-minute orders, in addition to the $25 discount you can get if you’re a Golden resident. Those gardens are a great deal–healthy plants that come with planting and maintenance instructions. I’ve been ordering the Bees ‘N’ Blooms/Pollinators gardens for many years, and as a result have a yard full of perennials, butterflies, and hummingbirds. This year I’m branching out and buying a couple of Xeric Greatest Hits gardens.
Mountain Toad Brewing is hosting Storytime with Ginger from 11:30-12:30. Join Ginger Barrett for a fun storytime and activity at Mountain Toad! Ginger is an Usborne representative and there will be the opportunity to buy a book or two for your child after storytime. This event is free and open to all.
This is a BIG DAY for Karen Hertz at Holidaily Brewing. She is opening the new brewing facility (across the street from the taproom), which will triple their brewing capacity. It’s great to see a Golden business growing and thriving. Their ribbon cutting is at 12:30PM today. They are offering brewery tours today and tomorrow, but you must sign up for a slot.
On a somewhat related subject, Golden Moon Distillery, which had the ribbon cutting for their expansion on Thursday, is offering free distillery tours from 11AM-3PM today.
