Jeffco Open Space is holding an open house tonight from 6-7:30 in the Open Space Office (700 Jefferson County Parkway – map). Stop by the Jeffco Open Space office any time to mingle fellow birders, find out about the birds in Jefferson County, sign up for volunteer opportunities and more!
Visit with Hawkquest’s four live education birds, mingle with fellow birders and sign up for the Big Year Jeffco, 2018. Partners include Naturalists from Bear Creek Lake Park, Evergreen Audubon Society, Denver Audubon Society and educators from the Lookout Mountain Nature Center and Natural Resources Teams.
Don’t forget tonight’s Jeffco Innovators Workshop (6-7:30 at City Hall). Denver attorney Darin Gibby will discuss his books, “Why Has America Stopped Inventing?” and “Chasing Hindy.”
Thursday
At 10:30 tomorrow morning, Jefferson County will have a farewell celebration for Jefferson County Commissioner Donald Rosier. The event takes place in the courthouse (map).
At 5:30 tomorrow night, the City will host a reception honoring the outgoing City Councilors (Joe Behm, Pamela Gould, and Marcia Claxton) and welcoming the new ones (Jim Dale, Paul Haseman, and Robert Reed).
