The City will hold an open house about the upcoming Golden Bike Library tonight (Tuesday May 10th) from 5:30-7 at the Community Center (1470 10th St.).  Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about Bike Library operations, including two-hour free rides, and provide feedback to staff.

The bike library will open on Bike to Work Day, June 22, with a launch event, food and giveaways. The Library offers bike options for adults and children including geared bikes to conquer Golden’s hills. Users will be able to check-out bikes for local trips, employment meetings and recreation, or to link to local public transportation. For more information, visit www.goldenbikelibrary.com.

Don’t forget tonight’s Golden Beer Talk.  Deputy State Historian Jason Hanson will tell us about the history of the brewing industry in Colorado.  The talk starts at about 6:30.  Come a little earlier if you want to be sure of a table.  Dinner will be available from our hosts, Windy Saddle Cafe.
