The USA Pro Cycling Challenge will come through Golden today. Here’s a brief overview of the planned activities:
8a.m. till 7p.m. – Health, Wellness, & Sustainability expo in Parfet Park (10th and Washington)
11:10a.m. – The cyclists will take off from the starting line at 11th and Washington. They will do two laps through downtown, then head up to Boulder.
After the cyclists leave, you can head to Parfet Park to watch the rest of the race on the Jumbotron. After the race, stay on at the park for a concert, which will end at about 7p.m.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! Our 4th of July fireworks were cancelled because of the dry conditions at the time, so we’ll have fireworks tonight, starting shortly after dusk. The best viewing location will be the Lions Park ball fields (west end of 10th Street).
