The Action Center is a non-profit organization that provides an immediate response to basic human needs and promotes pathways to self-sufficiency for Jefferson County residents and the homeless.
You can support them by visiting their semi-annual Beautiful Junk Sale at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Enjoy 10,500 square feet of bargain-priced items, including jewelry, collectibles, vintage odds & ends and a vast array of household items — all for a good cause. The sale is open today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for adults is $3. If you bring two or more non-perishable food donations, you can get $1 off. More information.
This is the last weekend of Buy Golden Week. A portion of the sales tax generated by this event will go to Golden’s schools, so please do make a point of shopping or dining here in Golden.
