City Council meets tonight in City Council chambers at 6:30. They will consider a resolution to grant the new (yet to be built) building at 12th and Jackson a cash-in-lieu-of-parking agreement. This means that rather than building parking for their anticipated use, they could pay the city cash. That cash would then be used for developing future parking spaces. They will also consider a resolution to support the Jefferson County Library’s proposed mill levy increase. The meeting will be broad cast live through the city website.
This Saturday (Sept 12th) is the annual Be a Tool! Neighborhood Rehab Project. Join us for a day of serving in Golden along side community members; addressing warm, safe, dry, quality of life needs within our community. This is a family friendly event, all ages are welcome under the supervision of the adult that they register with.
Check in by 8:30 a.m. at the Hillside Community Church, 103 N. Ford St. (map) and receive your t-shirt and project location, meet your Project Manager, receive a safety talk, and then disperse throughout the Golden Community based on your assigned project. You will have a Project Manager that will explain the project and provide direction. Please bring water, gloves and any tools assigned to you by your Project Manager. Coffee, juice and snack will be provided in the morning, and a box lunch will be delivered to your work site. We anticipate projects being completed by 4:00 p.m.
