Despite the chilly weather, yesterday’s Golden Gallup was a great success. Dave Powers got some nice photos, which are available on our Facebook page, and the race results have been posted. It was a good morning for the Golden Schools Foundation!
The Golden Library is offering a program from 5:30-6:30 this evening on Family Technology Safety. Take an hour out of your busy schedule and attend a presentation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s CHEEZO unit (cheezo.org) to learn what you can do to make your use of technology safer. Do you know the dangers your children face when using their cell phones, iPads and iPods? What is Geotagging? Do you know the legal consequences and social consequences of sexting? Barrels & Bottles is hosting their monthly Acoustic Monday tonight from 6:30-9:30. This is an open mic evening for musicians. All genres of music are welcomed and encouraged. Crowds can enjoy the songs while sipping on $1 off selected beers and wines. All Open Mic participants receive a free House pint or selected wine. Signup for participants begins at 6PM sharp.
The last Golden Bike Cruise of the year takes place tomorrow night (Tuesday 9/26). Costumes are optional, but this is a popular theme: ZOMBIES! As always, meet at the parking lot at 10th & Illinois.
