Help celebrate the grand opening of our newest microbrewery tonight. Barrels and Bottles (600 12th Street, across from the downtown post office) will host a reception between 4 and 6, and the Golden Chamber will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30.
Early in the year, Golden.com wrote about four new breweries planned in Golden during 2013. Three have opened: Cannonball Creek, Mountain Toad, and now Barrels and Bottles. The fourth, Coda Brewery, is opening Aurora instead. Golden will have to limp along with only five breweries (including Golden City and Coors).
After you help launch Barrels and Bottles, mosey on over to the Bridgewater Grill in the Golden Hotel. The Clear Creek Jazz Quintet will be playing in the bar from 6 till 9.
City Council meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. You can attend in person or watch it on Comcast cable channel 8 or through the city’s website.
