Ballots were mailed out yesterday, so if you’re registered, you should receive yours early next week. This morning, you have one last chance to meet up with the city council candidates. Coffee with Councilors and Candidates starts at 10 this morning at Golden Terrace Village (map).

The Chamber’s Knock Your Boots Off Chili Cook-Off & Beer Tasting is this afternoon from 1-4PM in Parfet Park. This event benefits both the Golden Chamber and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Tickets will be available at the gate for $35.
There are several Halloween events today that sound fun. For the kids, check out The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at Miners Alley Children’s Theater at 1PM and/or the Mines Museum Spooktacular from 4-7PM. Adults will enjoy the Talking Dead, which starts at 7PM at the Dove Inn (buy tickets in advance).
