The Planning Commission will have a study session tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. It should be an interesting one. Citizen polls such as the recent investment advisory survey indicate strong interest in acquiring more open space–both for development and as a buffer zone between Golden and development. Tonight, the commission will review parcels of property that could possibly be acquired if money was available.
In addition, the will consider code changes that would allow “early starts” for affordable housing developments and a change to allowable products at Neighborhood Farmers Markets. They will review a draft Comprehensive Plan compliance form which is designed to be easier to use and more focused on the Golden Vision 2030 values. See the meeting packet for more information….
