Stories, Shelton, and Godspell

Golden will be hosting a Storytelling Conference this weekend, at the Mountaineering Center.  Tomorrow night at 7, there will be a “Story Concert.”  This lively storytelling concert features nationally-beloved storyteller (and conference keynoter) Judith Black.  Laugh, sigh and shed a tear as you enjoy stories – true, traditional and otherwise.  These tales will transport you to another world.

This is the last weekend to see Godspell at Miners Alley Playhouse.  Sunday is already sold out, but there are a few seats left for Friday and Saturday’s shows.

Shelton Elementary is celebrating their 20th anniversary tonight from 5-7!  Learn about the school’s history, with displays of student work, pictures from 20 years ago, paintings by Hal Shelton, old yearbooks, magazines, newspapers, and much, much more!

Come and meet or get reacquainted with former principals and teachers.  (Yes, Mrs. Griebenow will be there!)

FOOD: Bring your own picnic, or purchase BBQ chicken sandwiches, pizzas, cotton candy and/or popcorn. We will have lots to purchase and lots to eat!

FUN: Get your face painted, make a balloon animal and jump in our Jumping Castle.  It will be a night to remember!
