Exciting Planning Commission Meeting Tonight
Calvary Church, at 13th & Arapahoe, bought the Armory Building in 2014. They would like the City to vacate the street between the two structures so it can be turned into “a pedestrian and plaza space that would serve the needs of their planned ‘campus’ environment, as well as create amenities, such as seating and landscaping, that is open to the public.” They are suggesting that the traffic that currently uses that block of Arapahoe Street be routed down Miners Alley instead. Planning Commission will also consider a site plan for a proposed four-unit 3-story townhouse development that would replace two small houses at 1917 and 1919 Ford Street. Learn more….
Vote for Art
The Public Art Commission will meet tomorrow morning at 9AM in City Council Chambers. They are planning to install a large new piece of art just off Highway 93 as it enters Golden. They have narrowed the candidates down to three possibilities, and now they’re asking the public to vote. Please visit Guiding Golden and tell them which piece you’d like them to commission.

Are you planning to do the Ladies Only Sample Tour tomorrow? You should! It runs from 4-8PM, and of course you can come and go whenever you like. Buy a wristband and then go from business to business downtown, collecting samples from the stores and restaurants. You can buy a wristband at several downtown businesses (see the LOST page for the list). If they are still available, you can buy one the night of the tour at 11th and Washington.
