This is a busy day at Foothills Art Center. From 12-1PM, they’ll be having their Art Book Club, discussing Girl with the Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. At 5PM they’ll host a gallery walk, highlighting their Evolving Perceptions exhibit, led by juror Deborah Boschert. This is a good opportunity to learn about the selection process that happens before we ever see an exhibit!
1-2PM – Friday Tour (Locomotives) at the Railroad Museum
Each Friday, join us for an hour of exploring a different aspect of Colorado’s railroad history. Tours are subject to change and are based on guide availability. Each week’s theme is explored using a variety of museum resources to help bring the subject to life with the understanding that guests are welcome to continue their visit on their own after the tour.
Washington Avenue and 12th St. downtown will be closed beginning at 1PM today so the City can set up for a bike race tomorrow.
5:30PM – Golden Community Bicycle Ride
The City invites people to meet under the arch and ride together over to Lions Park for tonight’s Movies and Music in the Park.
7PM – Movies & Music in the Park – Mary Poppins Returns and The Sweet Lillies. This is the final movie for the summer. Please note that the event will be held in Lions Park (10th and Maple) rather than Parfet Park. The City will be setting up for a bike expo in Parfet Park.
