The Golden Fine Arts Festival takes place on 11th Street between Arapahoe and Maple today and tomorrow from 10AM-5PM. The 27th Annual Golden Fine Arts Festival, presented by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, is one of the largest and most prestigious juried art shows in the country. The 2-day Festival features over 130 artists from 20 states, including many from Colorado. Artists will be juried in various media categories such as painting, sculpture, jewelry, and photography. The GFAF has free admission and will include food vendors, live music, locally brewed beer, and free art activities for children. We invite you to join us for this wonderful art show located adjacent to beautiful Clear Creek.
Both Farmers Markets will be running today–the main Golden Farmers Market at 10th & Illinois from 8-1 and the Neighborhood Farmers Market in the Methodist Church parking lot (15th & Jackson) from 8-2.
The School of Mines Blaster’s Service Extravaganza is taking place today, so expect to see gangs of very smart and helpful young people roving around Golden.
