Don’t Panic:
This morning, (Wednesday, July 11th) the Department of Homeland Security will be coordinating an Active Shooter Simulation on the School of Mines Campus. You may see many different agencies, including Golden Police, CSM Campus Police, Golden and Pleasant View Fire Departments among others, on the scene. Please avoid the area until 11:00 am or so.
Sustainability:
The Sustainability Board will meet tonight at 6PM in City Council Chambers. Their agenda has not been posted as of Tuesday night, but check the agenda page to see whether it has materialized.
Telephone Town Hall About Development in Jeffco:
The County Commissioners are going to hold a telephone this evening from 6:30-7:30. During this one-hour, over the phone meeting, the commissioners will discuss topics related to development in Jefferson County. But most importantly, the commissioners want to hear from you. You can listen in or you can also ask the commissioners and county staff questions on the topics discussed. There will also be polling questions where you can weigh in on important issues in the county. Learn more about how to join the call….
