Golden Business News

Golden has a new butcher shop! Golden Poultry & Meats is located in the Foss Building. This company has been serving Wheat Ridge since 1942. Golden is their second location. They offer fresh cuts daily of beef, pork, and chicken. They also carry produce, Little Man Ice Cream, cookies, seafood & fish, local honey, eggs, and milk, handmade sausages, and smoked & cured meats. Visit them during September and they will give you a free pound of ground beef–no purchase necessary.

The postcard above shows the view of Golden from Lookout Mountain. The Beverly Heights neighborhood was just getting started. North Table Mountain was a lot less developed. The large brown swath east of highway 6 is the Parfet clay pit. That land has since been reclaimed and is now being used for Mines athletic fields.
