To kick off Fire Prevention Week, the Golden Fire Department is excited to open our doors for our 18th annual Safety Day event.
This 100% free public event is open to everyone and any age range. Age specific education is provided by our safety and preparedness partners in the Denver metro area in our truck bays laid out in a farmers market style booth setup. We cover wide ranging topics with some examples being fire, police, paramedics, dispatch, animal control, burn teams, and live demonstrations throughout the morning.
There will be light refreshments, snacks, and prizes to win in a raffle, again at no cost to our visitors. There will be hands on activities that are fun for all ages, and tours of varying emergency vehicles with staff who can answer questions in their areas of expertise. We will have free face painting as well, so bring your friends and families from all over to enjoy a morning that you get to meet your local responders and learn about being more prepared for a wide range of topics!
