The Economic Development Commission will consider a $300 sponsorship request for the Golden Women in Business. This group will hold an event at Goosetown Station on September 18th, which will provide women business owners with an opportunity to network. The sponsorship will cover the cost of a photobooth.
They will receive an update on the Economic Contribution Study that they commissioned. A preliminary draft of the study is included in the meeting packet, beginning on p. 8.
Staff will report on the recent Mines Career Fair and the July sales and lodging tax reports. They will also describe work they're doing with the Planning Department to development Transportation Demand Strategies (that is--strategies to discourage single occupancy vehicles from coming to downtown Golden).
